ZBT participated in Girls'Day again this year and gave five female students an insight into our laboratories and workshops. The girls performed typical manual tasks of a tool mechanic and electronics technician as well as chemical work of a physics and chemistry laboratory assistant. They also learned about the operating principle of a fuel cell.
Girls'Day is a Germany-wide orientation day for girls to find out about careers and studies, during which schoolgirls learn about professions or fields of study in which the proportion of women is less than 40 percent, e.g. in the fields of IT, crafts, natural sciences and technology.
