In the first few weeks of 2024, we have already welcomed a number of exciting visitors to the ZBT.
It started in January with a visit from Julia Eisentraut, a member of the state parliament. The scientist was very interested in our research into climate-neutral energy systems. The exchange on science policy, management and communication was also particularly valuable. The following week, we continued with the Duisburg Rotary Clubs, who informed themselves about our work and with whom we discussed our role in the hydrogen ramp-up in the region. Shortly afterwards, a delegation from the A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore visited us and was particularly interested in the possibilities of importing energy via ammonia.
In February, we had several guest speakers, including Prof. Plamen Atanassov, who gave an inspiring lecture on his electrochemical research at the University of Irvine. The very next day, two speakers from Lhyfe visited us and reported on the status of the planning for the electrolyzer at the Port of Duisburg. During their visit, two representatives of the Canadian embassy were particularly interested in our research in the field of energy carriers, hydrogen infrastructure and our open hardware project "Open Fuel Cell". We are sure that these will not be the last visits in 2024 and look forward to all the exchanges that will follow.
