In the BipolarPilot project, ZBT and KCS Europe are working on scaling up a new coating system for metallic bipolar plates. This includes the construction of a pilot plant.
With its partners WätaS, Laufenberg, FEV, Olbrich, and RWTH Aachen University, ZBT develops a fuel cell stack with high performance, robustness and marketable efficiency that can be produced at a lower cost than current products on the market.
The PRHYDE Consortium plans to provide an update on project progress at its next webinar on April 21, 2022.
New analytical possibilities are now opening up for researchers at the ZBT: The new X-ray microscope makes it possible to look inside fuel cells without having to disassemble them - and at a resolution of less than one micrometre!
ZBT supports stack developers worldwide with the development of high-precision, robust sealing solutions for fuel cell applications.
